Winter 2019-2020

Rad Academy Clinic – A one-day, three-hour clinic on October 27th from Noon-3PM at Keva Sports Center led by coaches who play on the Madison Radicals, Madison Heist, and other local nationally-competitive teams.

WI Ultimate Winter Indoor Middle School League – Sunday nights 6:45-8:15PM at LaFollette High School’s Field House.  Two sessions, beginning November 3rd. Register here!

Keva Ultimate Frisbee Class – Wednesdays at 4PM at Keva Sports Center for ages 11-14, runs Nov – Jan 25th.

Sun Prairie Winter Indoor Pickup League – Tuesday nights, 9:30-10:30PM, Beginning November 12th. Priority Registration given to youth players.

Little Rads – The Little Rads are a Madison-based Ultimate Frisbee club for for middle-school-aged players.  They are a traveling tournament team with a focus on providing tournament play opportunities and growing Ultimate skills. They emphasize becoming better teammates, playing across school and grade boundaries, and playing with respect while also being competitive.

Fall 2019

MUFA Middle School League – Wednesday nights 6PM-7:30PM at Bowman Field on Fish Hatchery Road.  Open to players in 5th-8th grade, all skill levels welcome. Register here!

WI Ultimate/MUFA High School Hat League – Wednesday nights 7PM-9:30PM at Bowman field and potentially other lit fields in Madison/Fitchburg.  Open to players in 9th-12th grade, all skill levels welcome. This is a USAU-sanctioned league that will count for eligibility for 2020 YCCs.  Register here!

Saturday Youth Pickup – Saturday Afternoons, 1PM, Brittingham Park **Note: This is not a MUFA-sponsored event.  A Facebook group with more information is available here.

Harvest Cup Tournament – Mixed High School and Open Middle School Tournament hosted by Wisconsin Ultimate and MUFA on September 28th-29th at North Star Park in Madison. For more information click here!

Summer 2019

Rad Academy – All day camp for high school-aged players July 8th-12th; All day camp for middle school-aged players July 29th-August 2nd; half day camps for middle schoolers both weeks. Coached by Radicals players and local female players.

Edgewood Summer Camp: Ultimate Basics – This camp, run from 12:30p-2:30p on 06/24/2019 – 06/27/2019 introduces young athletes to the fundamentals of the sport, including rules of the game, handling the disc, and working as a team. Each player will be given a camp T-Shirt and a Discraft Ultrastar disc. Open to youth entering grades 6-9. Cost is $75, use promo code MUFA2019 for $5 off.

Edgewood Summer Camp: Ultimate Advanced – This camp, run from 3:00p-5:00p on 06/24/2019 – 06/27/2019 is intended for players who already have a basic understanding of the game, and are comfortable throwing/catching a disc. Activities will include Ultimate specific drills, conditioning, offensive/defensive strategy, and full 7v7 games. Players will receive their own Discraft Ultrastar disc. Open to youth entering grades 7-10. Cost is $75, use promo code MUFA2019 for $5 off.

MSCR Summer Ultimate Frisbee Courses – MSCR will offer several skill-building courses for Ultimate at Olson Elementary and Whitehorse Middle School during the summer.  Courses are available for Grades K-2, 3-5, and 6-8.  These courses are led by local Ultimate players.

Sun Prairie Youth Clinic – A one-afternoon clinic from 1pm-4pm on June 26th for ages 10-14. Hosted by a Sun Prairie Ultimate Frisbee coach.

Sun Prairie Youth Ultimate Summer Camp – A four-day afternoon camp from 1pm-4pm on July 8th-11th for ages 10-14. Hosted by a Sun Prairie Ultimate Frisbee coach.

Madison MUFAbots YCC (Youth Club Championship) teams – The Madison MUFAbots is a set of three coached teams (Under 20 Mixed, Under 17 Girls, and Under 17 Boys) that will practice as teams over the summer and participate against other national and international teams in the Youth Club Championship tournament in Blaine, Minnesota from August 3rd-5th. YCC is an amazing opportunity for Madison youth ultimate players to learn from top-level players who play nationally at the collegiate level, at the club level, and professional level.  Learn more about our MUFAbots YCC teams! Teams are set for Summer 2019, but check out team details and we’ll post 2020 info here as soon as it’s available!


YOUTH WAIVERS FOR MUFA ADULT LEAGUES

You must be at least 14 years old on the first day of a given league to participate, or by the date specifically listed on the page for that league.

Youth waivers (click here) required for participation in all MUFA leagues and events. Be sure to fill out both forms and send them to mufa.youth@gmail.com. If you cannot scan your waiver and need to mail a physical copy, send a message to that e-mail.

Boys: Edgewood, Madison East, Madison LaFollette, Madison Memorial, Madison West, Middleton, Oregon, Stoughton, Sun Prairie


MUFA Youth Complaint Policy

All adults serving as youth volunteers/chaperones/coaches receive background checks and complete SafeSport and Heads Up! concussion awareness training.  All volunteers are expected to report to the MUFA board (via the Youth Chair) any violations of policy prohibiting sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, bullying, threats or harassment, or hazing.  Any allegations of child physical abuse or sexual abuse are also reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.

To make a report (as a coach, player, or parent) regarding any of these violations please e-mail mufa.youth@gmail.com.  All reports will be reviewed by the MUFA board.
