2008 Results

The 2008 College Ultimate season is over, and the Bella Donnas can proudly present captain Courtney Kiesow as the first ever Wisconsin women's Callahan award winner! "In the eyes of his of her peers, the Callahan winner is the personification of the ideal ultimate player." As rival, teammate, or leader, Courtney has always been recognized as a spirited, knowledgable, and skillful athlete, and the college women's community has acknowledged this excellence by voting her the MVP of 2008.

The Bellas themselves finished tying for fifth after losing to UCSB in the quarterfinals. We are extremely proud of our season, having had it labled early on as a "rebuilding season". Rejecting this notion, we went to tournaments confident in our ability not only to win tough games and play well, but to learn as a team and become closer together, creating the foundation that Bella Donna will rest on for years to come.

While we can say proudly that we got fifth at College Nationals, our goal has not changed. Watch for us in 2009, Bella Donna will be setting out full-force for a National championship!
